- Telephone Skills for Business
This course will provide participants with knowledge of the essential language and the skills needed to professionally handle calls. This course will also improve job performance, increase confidence and increase professionalism.
The course will include such topics as: answering and ending calls appropriately; taking messages and dealing with 'difficult' customers.
This course will give candidates knowledge of the essential language and skills needed to produce effective business correspondence.
The course looks at different business writing texts e.g. formal letters, emails, faxes and, if required, report writing. During the course candidates will look at: appropriate tone and register of business correspondence; functional language and business writing 'norms'; the differences between emails and formal letters; the five 'C's of good business writing and proof-reading skills.
This programme provides delegates with the skills and 'know-how' to function in the modern day office situation with the ability to produce professional looking files efficiently.
Delegates will gain specific instruction in the basic use and manipulation of: Outlook, Word, Spreadsheets, Powerpoint presentations whilst being familiarised with PCs in general and Microsoft Windows particularly.
