International House Dubai joined famous 'hardcore testers' and other professionals in the field for the IATEFL Special Interest Group on Testing and Assessment on 11 - 12 February at Zayed University http://secure.iatefl.org/events/event.php?id=19. The theme for this two day event was "Establishing and Maintaining Standards".
Barry O'Sullivan was there explaining that to him testing is validation and Neus Figueras showing that familiarisation is essential at all stages of the testing process but that we must begin with the test takers/candidates in mind. Nick Saville showed 17 memorable points for auditing a test QMS.
As part of a network that has been committed to raising language education standards for over 57 years www.ihworld.com/about_us/history.asp, IH Dubai was pleased to support this important event. It was expecially pertinent for the school because IH Dubai is also a Cambridge ESOL exam centre, providing progressive, internationally recognised, acredited exams. Candidates can sit exams from level A2 in CEF to C1 with exams such as KET, PET and BEC.
For more information on exams check out the'Language Exams' page on the site, or email exams@ihdubai.com.
