IH Dubai are pleased to announce their collaboration with the Hermes Institute of Science and Technology in Iran. IH Dubai have been contracted to expand the delivery of teacher training products and services for the Hermes Institute who have more than 10 centres in Tehran with further expansion plans. As one of the most reputable English language teaching institutes in Iran, they are very committed to maintaining the highest international and most modern professional standards in language teaching. Hermes chose IH Dubai because of their commitment to "Raising Language Education Standards" in the region in the knowledge that that they would be embarking on a rewarding and first rate professional collaboration.
The initial agreement sees IH Dubai running 10 University of Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) courses starting in September 2010. Both partners also look forward to expanding this provision to include ongoing professional development for existing teachers and offering further professional qualifications for experienced teachers. Both partners are also in negotiations to facilitate study abroad programmes together bringing English students to Dubai to enhance and expand their existing studies in Iran.
Formal signing took place at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Wednesday 2 May between Mr. Mohammad Ehsan Toutiaee, CEO of Hermes Institute and Ms Samantha Stephen, Director of IH Dubai. Also present were Ms Bita Rezaei of the Hermes Institute and Mr Jamie King, Director of Teacher Training at IH Dubai.
