TESOL Arabia is the annual conference allowing professionals in TESOL the opportunity to share ideas, refresh teaching practices and stay abreast of current events/thinking in second language learning. This year’s conference (the 15th year of TESOL Arabia) hosted some well-known names such as Dave and Jane Willis (www.willis-elt.co.uk ); Mario Rinvolucri, brought to the event by IH Dubai (http://www.hltmag.co.uk/); Barbara Seidlhofer (http://www.univie.ac.at/voice/) and many, many others.
Held in the JW Marriott in Dubai, I am sure all the educators who attended would agree that it was a very well-run event and that they came away with ideas, both for their immediate classes and regarding learning in general.
For details about the conference this year and the sessions in previous years, see: http:// www.tesolarabia.org/conference/ , where you can also download speakers’ handouts and find out more information about their work.
